In 1945,described a machine called "memex",which had a keyboard,buttons and levers. Memex could store all ones records,files and photos,retreiving them with great speed, to be viewed on translucent screens.

In 1990,while at CERN,developed a prototype web browser and HTML draft.This allowded researchers to organize and pool information, while at different locations.
Robert Metcalf
Developer of the Ethernet and in 1979 , founded 3Com Corp. to implement his ideas
John Warnock
In 1978, while at Xerox PARC, assisted in developing standards for graphic imaging. A few years later he and Charles Geschke founded Adobe Systems to produce desktop publishing software, most noteably Photoshop.
